Hosts: Duck Sauce, Gyro, Americano, Biscuit
Danger and intrigue abound deep in Antarctica. The hosts try a new cooperative story-building role-playing game in Fiasco. This is definitely new ground for the intrepid hosts as they venture into a Cohen Brothers-esque modern rpg with a tagline that reads, "With great ambition and poor impulse control." By direction of Duck Sauce, "no aliens, no robots, no monsters." By the end of the game, you've got one heck of a story too. Enjoy!

OMG that was one of the most hilarious episodes to date. I was trying to put the finishing touches on my Penitent Engines as I was listening and it took me almost the entire podcast to finish them.
ReplyDeleteThe game sounds like a blast and it sounds like you all had a great time playing it. Just wanted you to know that I as a listener enjoyed it as well.

Using sensory association with the podcast and your Penitent Engines, you'll never be able to play a game of 40k with them again without thinking of Biscuit's character on the toilet!
ReplyDeleteFeedback (positive or negative) is *always* welcome (wanted) from our listeners, so thanks for chiming in, glad you enjoyed it!
LOL Thanks Gyro, now I will definitely think of that when using them. I can see it now I pull out my Penitent Engines to place out table and start cracking up. My opponent will be like wtf drugs is this dude on.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I just wanted to mention that the Being Human on SyFy is no where near as good as the original on BBC America.

Just got Whiteout in the mail vie Netflix, and it watched SURPRISINGLY similar to the spirit of how this RPG played out.
ReplyDeleteI was at work the other day and what did I see? An Asian little person. Yes Gyro, they really are out there.
ReplyDeleteTotally late to the party but I found y'all while looking for some plays of fiasco on podcast. You guys were both right with the Madame Butterfly reference. What you're thinking about is Madame Butterfly the FILM adaptation by David Cronenburg with a screenplay by David Henry Hwang, unfortunately 19th century opera does not seem to include too many interracial homosexual transgendered relationships.
ReplyDeleteAnd give Bully Pulpit Games a call, between this and the Zoo show, y'all helped them sell a copy of Fiasco!
